Katalox Light® systems offer a new technology with advanced catalytic filtration available in water treatment industry. All systems have been engineered keeping both professionals and consumers in mind. Systems are available with different models and customized for manual backwash without using electricity or it can be made fully-automatic. System can be used in a variety of applications including residential, commercial and any process water applications for food and beverage industry. Standard systems are designed with a filtration velocity of 20 m/h (8.2 gpm/ft2 ) to provide a good filtration. This value may differ for advanced application like Arsenic, Radium, Uranium and other Heavy Metal removal where co-precipitation process requires higher contact time thus lower filtration velocity. Running the system at higher velocity may compromise the filtration performance. Virtually there is no flow rate limitations for KL systems as KL units can be configured in parallel to address industrial high flow requirements.

Recommended System Operating Conditions: Inlet water pH 5.8 - 10.5
Recommended Maximum Flow Rate 6.7 GPM

This Unit Includes:

1 - FRP Tank 1054(includes distributor tube with upper and lower baskets)
1 - Fleck 5600 SXT Backwash Valve AIO Oxygen Chamber System Digital Control Valve
1 - Katalox Light®
1 - Bypass Valve - 1"

Oxygen Chamber System Technology uses natural oxidation to remove Iron, Manganese and Hydrogen Sulfide from water supply without chemicals, aerators, air compressors, venturis or loss of pressure.

A Patented air injection technology built into the control valve and a Check valve that keeps a pocket of pressurized air in the tank increase the capacity of the media to remove high levels of Iron, Manganese and Hydrogen Sulfide.

When passing through the pocket, the high levels of iron and manganese get oxidized and are trapped to the bed. The sulfide is converted to sulfur and precipitates as elemental sulfur. The bed is then backwashed rinsing them down the drain. You need no chemicals.

Fleck's new SXT controller is the next generation control valve. This replaces the past SE platform. The SXT features the same basic functionality as the SE, but has a larger backlit display, new diagnostic view, improved programming and a power backup of over 48 hours.
